What can I do?

My story

A Web Accessibility Specialist with a Ground-Up Approach

With a strong foundation as a front-end developer specialising in bespoke WordPress themes and Shopify development, I’ve spent my career creating custom, interactive digital experiences. My background in turning flat designs into engaging websites has shaped the way I approach accessibility: by building it in from the very beginning, not treating it as something to fix at the end.

I currently work as an Accessibility Specialist at Mixd, where I help teams understand and apply accessibility in a practical way. This includes accessibility audits, compliance reviews, accessible content guidance, client training, and explaining WCAG 2.2 success criteria in plain English.

My work includes comprehensive accessibility auditing across healthcare, government, defence, and public sector websites, including NHS websites, fire services, and MOD-related sites. I have also supported organisations with EAA compliance audits, accessibility statements, VPATs, and ACR documentation, as well as improvements towards higher levels of accessibility, including WCAG 2.2 AAA.

A big part of my approach is making accessibility feel clear, achievable, and part of everyday digital practice. Whether I’m reviewing code, supporting content teams, training clients, or explaining accessibility requirements, my focus is always on helping people create digital experiences that are easier to use for everyone.

This portfolio brings together my experience, accessibility work, writing, and thoughts on creating more inclusive digital experiences.
